From 1951 to 1993, driven by gratitude to those who taught him, selfless love, and a vision of universal happiness, Swami Chinmayananda tirelessly spread the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads to people around the world.

His love and service have inspired countless others to put those teachings into practice in their own lives and throughout their communities..

In 1981, Swami Swaroopananda, then a youthful devotee of Swami Chinmayananda, dedicated his life to teaching Vedanta and serving in Chinmaya Mission.

In 2016, Swamiji became Head of the Mission’s 300 plus centres worldwide. He is also Chairman of the Chinmaya Mission University in Kerala and Chairman of the Mission’s International School in Coimbatore. Swamiji maintains a hectic worldwide teaching schedule in addition to holding annual family and youth camps.
