Nurses are the very heart of healthcare, and Indian nurses are sought the world over for the quality of care they provide.
Established in 1985 under the aegis of the Karnataka Chinmaya Seva Mission, the Chinmaya Institute of Nursing is a sister institution of the Chinmaya Mission Hospital.
With the belief that Nara Seva is Narayana Serva - Service to Society is Service to God, the Institute offers comprehensive academic programmes. The three-year Diploma Course in Nursing and Midwifery, recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka Nursing Council commenced in 1986.
In 2009, the Institute upgraded to a College and began offering the four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree course with a cohort of 40 students.
Students receive clinical training at the Chinmaya Mission Hospital, and are taught to provide care with devotion and confidence. Supplementary modules in Indian philosophy, culture and ethical principles enable holistic development and help students attain a keen sense of service and responsibility to patients.
