Introduction

Swami Tejomayananda currently resides at Chinmaya Mission’s headquarters, Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, in Mumbai where he teaches regularly on a broad range of Vedantic texts. Described by Swami Chinmayananda as an “exquisite teacher”.

His finely honed teaching style is ideally suited to communicating the depth of Advaita Vedanta in simple language while maintaining the purity and authenticity of the scriptures.

Swamiji is a natural poet, with a comprehensive knowledge of Hindustani classical music and his musical compositions flow effortlessly from a deep reservoir of devotion and spiritual knowledge.

It was his vision that gave birth to Chinmaya Naada Bindu, which is now the music arm of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth tertiary institution.

A date with destiny

1969

As a 19 year old college student, Swami Tejomayananda was greatly fascinated by the unique rapport between the Guru and shishya. Almost as though to enable him to experience this first hand, his life took a dramatic turn. In October 1969, a month before he received his postgraduate degree, he heard Swami Chinmayananda’s discourses on the Bhagavad-gita Chapter 3.

Shri Vaikunta Ekadashi was celebrated at Chinmaya Upasana, Chinmaya Mission Hosur, on 13 January 2022. Shri Omkara Mahavishnu, at 5 AM IST followed by special Alankara.

Children and youth programmes

On the auspicious occasion of Shri Hanuman Jayanti on 1 January 2022, a Samashti Shri Hanuman Chalisa Maha Parayana Homa was organized by Chinmaya Mission Hosur.
